Kathryn “Ka” June is a painter, costume designer, and performing artist raised in west Texas, and currently resides in Asheville, NC. She is primarily self-taught, and her former work in the healing arts is strongly influential in her craft. Her love for healing, nature, and beauty is the foundation of her art.

Her work has been on display at the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Renwick Gallery, and exhibited in the Van Wereldculturen Museums.

Ka has worked from her River Arts District studio in the Cotton Mill Studios Building (studio F) since 2017. “

The aim of my art is to celebrate the beauty I experience in this world, and to open the hearts and enrich the lives, of those who see it ” - Ka

Impact from Helene: I lost my studio in the RAD and my home. I am seeking housing and hope to find space to create and sell my work so I can still live and thrive here.

The ask: financial support, studio space, gallery representation, art sales, a nice affordable home
